Our team recently had the pleasure of working with Mother Earth Coffee and Shawnee Mission Health Prairie Star in western Lenexa. Renovation work on the 1,044 square foot space, situated on the first floor of the 3-story medical building, included high end finishes and a custom built sliding barn door at the entrance.
Working in an occupied facility, in this case a hospital with infectious control requirements and regular inspections, can prove to be tricky. The available material entrance was situated next to the emergency drive so our team had to plan accordingly. Harmon’s team, consisting of Project Manager Brian McDermott and Superintendent Chris McNally, worked hand-in-hand with AMAI Architecture to successfully complete the project.
In this new location, Mother Earth Coffee now serves hundreds of patients, hospital staff and guests daily and boasts their 100% certified organic, direct trade coffee along with pastries and other snacks.
